“Fantastic brands, a strong company vision and a great mix of people are what keep me here,” says Kristy Ryan, Head of Sales, Australia.
Kristy was one of the first people through the door of our Australian office when it opened in 2010.
“It was an exciting time to join the company,” she says. “There were only a few of us in the office and it was my job to grow our core brands with key customers in Australia.”
As our business grew in the Region, so did Kristy’s responsibilities and today she heads up a team of 25 people to develop and grow our brands in Australia.
And if there’s anything you need to know about the Australian market, you won’t find anyone better qualified than Kristy.
“With a growing population and an increasing preference for premium and super-premium spirits, there’s no shortage of opportunities in Australia,” explains Kristy.
And while the team is still focused on growing our core brands, they’re also tapping into some Australian-specific trends.
“Australia is one of the largest pre-mixed drinks markets in the world and last year we launched a range of Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum ready-to-drink cans. And while this category isn’t a key area for us, it’s helped bolster our trading relationships with our key customers.”
