We value every employee for their Rare Character: distinctive skills, experiences and perspectives.
Every single one of our Rare Characters has a role to play in helping us to achieve our growth ambitions.
We always take a long-term view of our business. We are committed to creating and promoting an inclusive culture where all ideas and views are respected and where our Rare Characters are encouraged to develop and achieve their full potential.
Our approach to recruitment encourages diversity and supports our wider diversity and inclusion ambitions.
We provide employees with flexible working practices to support them at important times in their life and to help them achieve a work- life balance.
Our business is structured in three main areas:
Our central services are crucial to the success of our business, supporting our operations and branded business units.
Our functions include Finance, Human Resources, Global Technology Services, Legal and Global Corporate Communications. These teams serve our global business and operate from our global locations.
In 2019, we were once again named Distiller of the Year by the International Spirits Challenge.
We have received the highest accolade of Distiller of the Year from either the International Wine and Spirits Competition or the International Spirits Challenge 12 times in the last 13 years.
These consistent wins demonstrate the exceptional quality of our liquids that underpins all of our brands.
We take enormous pride in the quality of our spirits, and employ experts and graduates alike at our operational sites across the world, specialising in the following disciplines:
Our branded business is split into three regions: Europe, Middle East and Africa; Asia Pacific and The Americas
We build our brands across these regions dram by dram, the William Grant & Sons way.
This means we execute first-class activations, marketing campaigns and customer collaborations, whether you’re based in Singapore or Strathclyde Business Park, Tullamore or Tuthilltown.
Our ambition is to fulfil your ambition.
We can offer you the chance to work in the dynamic premium spirits industry with first-class UK and international opportunities across a range of business functions.
We encourage everyone here to be their best self. We are passionate about investing in our people to support their career development, help drive our business forward and build legacies. We have learning initiatives to support these needs and believe everyone should embrace learning as part of their everyday. It’s who we are.
Our aim is to create and promote a diverse and inclusive culture where all ideas and views are respected and where we are all encouraged to create our personal legacy. The fact that Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) is a key business priority demonstrates how important it is to us.
The reward package we offer our employees is not just about competitive salaries and the opportunity for bonus. We offer great employee benefits including a generous holiday entitlement and product allowance. Our benefits take into account local practice and so may vary slightly depending where you are based.
William Grant & Sons do not currently use any AI tools in our recruitment process. That means that your application will be reviewed by a human, and all recruitment decisions are taken by our team. Throughout our recruitment process we want to get to know you, your skills and your experience. That means that while we do offer remote interviews, we also like to meet face to face wherever possible.
We recognise that many people will find a benefit in using AI tools to support their application. How you do that might include:
We want to get to know the best, most authentic version of yourself. That means being careful that your use of AI tools doesn’t exaggerate or add things to your CV. In interviews, it also means that your answers should be your own. You may have used AI to anticipate the questions we might ask and prepare answers. In the interview itself though we want to speak to you and not AI, so please don’t be tempted to use AI in real time to generate responses to our questions. If you do refer to any notes that you’ve used AI tools to help create, be sure that you’re answering in your own words and not including anything that the AI might have “added” to your experience.
As a simple rule of thumb we’re comfortable with you using AI to review and refine your own work, but the content itself must always come from you.
