William Grant & Sons Wins Distiller of the Year for the 9th Year in a Row

24 September 2024: The International Spirits Challenge (ISC) Awards took place on Thursday 26th September 2024 and saw us take home three highly sought after awards, including Distiller of the Year which recognises excellence across our entire portfolio.

Now in its 29th year, the ISC is the premier event that awards outstanding quality spirits from around the world. Once submissions come through, the judging process is extremely rigorous. It takes place over 23 days and includes blind tastings by a panel of more than 75 respected and experienced industry professionals. Scores are based on aroma, appearance, taste and finish.

For the 9th year in a row, William Grant & Sons has been awarded Distiller of the Year. This is a true testament to our consistency, quality and excellence across our award-winning portfolio.

Brian Kinsman, Master Blender said: “We do not take for granted that we have won Distiller of the Year for the 9th year in a row. This is a brilliant achievement and shows the true quality and consistency of our liquids.”

In tasting categories, The Balvenie Caribbean Cask won Scotch Whisky of the Year, and Milagro Añejo Tequila won Tequila of the Year.

In total, William Grant & Sons received 73 medals and two trophies recognising quality across its entire brand portfolio, including 5 Double Gold, 31 Gold, 29 Silver and 8 Bronze.

Congratulations to everyone across the business, we’ve all contributed to the success and have a role to play in achieving these great accomplishments.
