Coffee, a talking chair and an unexpected job opportunity

Helping to shape the future of Glenfiddich

Glenfiddich’s going through one of the most exciting times in its history and to be part of the team shaping its future is a huge responsibility and something that I’m really excited about.

Rohan Bhardwaj, Global Marketing Manager, Glenfiddich

It all started with a Sunday morning cup of coffee with a few friends in a café in Gurgaon in India, discussing a switch in career paths and the opportunity to join William Grant & Sons.

Six years later, Rohan Bhardwaj’s just moved from New Delhi to London to take up the role of Glenfiddich's Global Brand Manager.

How it all started

“I was out for Sunday breakfast with some of my friends when a friend pointed me towards an exciting opportunity to join William Grant & Sons as their Brand Ambassador for India, it was labelled as ‘The most awesome job in the world,’ recalls Rohan, “and sure it was.”

The job was to be our first-ever Grant’s Ambassador for India, which Rohan successfully applied for. Since then, he’s helped the brand grow, worked on campaigns across our portfolio of brands and as the Grant’s Brand Ambassador for Asia Pacific.

After spending five years in Asia, Rohan moved to the UK in 2019 to join our Global marketing team and take up the role of Glenfiddich’s Global Brand Manager.

A new year, and a new role

Rohan is now in his new role developing and delivering global marketing programmes for the world’s most-awarded single malt Scotch Whisky.

"Glenfiddich’s going through one of the most exciting times in its history and to be part of the team shaping its future is a huge responsibility, something I am really excited about. It’s something new everyday, I relish the challenges, excitement and the thrill that comes with managing a global brand.

We have an amazing team here, work culture is brilliant, and our cool office space. It was amazing to see how well we looked after each other during the Pandemic and now it’s great to see people coming back into the office and meeting my pals face to face.

My journey with William Grant & Sons has been a really rewarding one, I was lucky that I went for lunch with the right set of friends all those years ago. and if any your friends ever discuss an opportunity to join William Grant & Sons- just go for it. I couldn’t recommend us enough." #NotanAD
